1500kg Single Axle Generator Trailer 2.2m

This generator trailer is a braked single-axle chassis on a 2.2 m by 1.2 m frame, plated at 1 500 kg gross and built to carry and tow a small to mid-size genset. The generator mounts to the deck so the whole unit moves as one and stands as a stable base when it runs, and it is braked as required above 750 kg.

What the generator trailer does

A generator trailer puts standby or site power on wheels. Rather than lifting a genset on and off a bakkie, the set is fixed to a purpose-built chassis with its own coupling, running gear and mounting, so it tows to the job and works where it stands. At 1 500 kg GVM this single-axle unit suits a small to mid site generator for construction, events or a farm standby point. Build and mounting

The chassis and A-frame are steel open channel in a ladder-frame layout, on a braked single axle, finished in painted 2K Duco. The generator is mounted to suit the set you run, and fuel, earthing and weatherproofing are specified against how and where you use it. Payload, GVM and licensing

Plated at 1 500 kg gross and braked, this trailer needs a tow vehicle rated for a braked trailer of this mass. The generator sets the real weight, so we confirm the payload against the trailer tare in writing before you order rather than quote a figure we cannot verify. Above 750 kg a trailer must be braked, and the licence and combination rules are in the National Road Traffic Act.
