This double axle flatbed trailer is a 3.0 m by 1.8 m open deck plated at 2 300 kg gross, built for loads that are loaded from the side or the top rather than through a tailgate. With no sides and no rear gate, the whole deck is clear for pallets, crates, a compact machine or bundled material, and the wheels sit under the trailer so the full width stays usable.

What a double axle flatbed trailer is for

A flatbed earns its place when a load is bulky, palletised or loaded by forklift. Nothing gets in the way of a side load, straps run cleanly over the deck to the lashing points, and an odd-shaped load can overhang neatly rather than fighting fixed sides. On two axles at 2 300 kg GVM, this size suits builders, hardware suppliers and farms moving pallets and equipment that a sided trailer would only complicate.

Build and deck

The deck is a 1.6 mm steel-plate floor on a steel-rectangle and open-channel ladder-frame chassis, with the wheels mounted under the trailer to keep the full 1.8 m width clear. It runs twin 1 600 kg leaf-sprung axles, is braked, and is finished in painted 2K Duco. Lashing points let a load be tied down flat and legal, which on an open deck matters more than on a sided trailer.

Plated at 2 300 kg gross on 1 600 kg axles, this trailer is braked as standard because it is over the 750 kg threshold, so the tow vehicle needs matching braked towing capacity. The supplier publishes no dependable tare, so we confirm the empty mass and payload in writing before you order. Load securing on an open deck sits with the towing driver under the National Road Traffic Act, and we are happy to advise on lashing.

Where it sits in the range
