Advertising & Specialist Trailers

Specialist trailers are built around one job rather than a general load. This section covers mobile advertising trailers that carry a billboard face, and cable drum trailers that lift, hold and pay out a reel of cable or fibre under control.

An advertising trailer is a billboard you can park. The 2.0 m body is mounted on a rust-resistant galvanised or powder-coated chassis, with built-in display lighting so the face still works after dark and provision for moulded 3D graphics rather than a flat vinyl wrap. Retailers park one at a mall entrance, developers put one at a site boundary, and campaigns move one between towns. It costs a fraction of a static board and it goes where the traffic is on the day.

A cable drum trailer is a handling tool. The frame is high-grade steel rated for drums up to 3,000 kg, with a universal adjustable spindle that takes a range of drum widths and a locking system that stops the reel running away when tension comes off. Stabilising jacks take the load off the axles while you are paying out, which is the point at which an unstabilised trailer walks. Braking is hydraulic across both axles. Reflective markings and LED lighting are fitted for road use, and drums outside the standard range are handled as a custom build.
