A closed body trailer is a fully enclosed hard-body trailer used to carry cargo under lock and out of the weather. The ones we carry are built in Chromadek-clad steel, single axle from 2.25 m and tandem axle up to 6 m long and 2.1 m high.
Two things sell a closed trailer: it stays dry and it stays shut. Chromadek cladding over a steel frame handles both, and it holds colour under sun that fades painted panel inside a couple of summers. Every joint is sealed, because a box trailer that leaks is worse than an open trailer with a tarp over it.
Doors are where most enclosed trailers fail. Ours are reinforced at the frame rather than just at the hinge, with lockable rear and side access on the single-axle bodies, so you are not unpacking the whole load to reach the thing at the front.
The single-axle range starts at a 1.22 m wide by 2.25 m long body and runs to 1.5 x 3.0 m at either 1.8 m or 2.1 m internal height, on leaf-spring suspension. It suits couriers, tradesmen carrying tools that must not walk off overnight, and anyone moving stock between two towns.
The tandem-axle range starts at 1.8 x 4.0 x 2.1 m and runs to 2.0 x 6.0 x 2.1 m, on twin 45 mm round axles with 5-PCD square braked hubs, leaf springs and 14 inch white mags. That is a genuine volume load, and the second braked axle is what makes it controllable at highway speed.
If the enclosed body is being used to prepare or sell food rather than carry cargo, the mobile kitchen and vending section is where those units live.
