Mobile Kitchen & Vending Trailers

A mobile kitchen trailer is an enclosed, insulated body fitted out to prepare and sell food on site. We supply compact single-axle units on a 3 m to 4 m body and large twin-axle kitchens up to 5 m, both with service hatches, water tanks and full electrical fit-out.

These are trading assets, so the specification is driven by what a health inspector and an insurer will accept, not by what looks good in a photograph.

The compact single-axle unit is built on a mild steel chassis with insulated food-grade panelling, a rear service door, jockey stands front and rear, and LED lighting inside and out. It runs a 1.5 tonne non-braked axle on 14 inch white mags with a braked global coupler. Bodies are available at 3.0 x 1.5 x 2.0 m, 1.8 x 3.0 x 2.1 m and 2.0 x 4.0 x 2.1 m. This is the coffee, boerie roll and takeaway unit: one or two people working, one service window, quick to hitch and reposition.

The large twin-axle kitchen is a different scale of business. Bodies of 2.0 x 4.0 x 2.1 m and 2.0 x 5.0 x 2.1 m sit on twin three-tonne braked axles with a 55 mm round twin jockey wheel. The exterior is insulated aluminium or stainless. Inside there is commercial exhaust and ventilation, fresh and waste water tanks, a non-slip floor, fire suppression and an emergency exit. That is a full production kitchen that happens to have a tow hitch.

Event operators, franchise groups and independent traders all buy from this range, and most of them come back for a second unit rather than a bigger one.
