Livestock Trailers

A livestock trailer is built to move live animals safely, with high stock sides, gates that let you load and separate, and a floor that holds grip when it is wet. Our range covers 3 m single-axle and 4 m to 5 m tandem-axle bodies up to 3,000 kg GVM.

What separates a stock trailer from a cargo trailer is not the chassis, it is everything above it. Sides run to 2.2 m so a beast cannot get a leg over. The frame is 50 x 50 mm square tube, close enough spaced that a lamb cannot push through and open enough that air moves while you are standing in traffic outside Vryburg. The floor is laid for grip, because an animal that loses its feet in a moving trailer injures itself and everything next to it.

Gates are the part farmers actually judge us on. Combo swing gates let you work the back of the trailer from the side without opening the whole tail. A centre dividing gate lets you carry two lots at once, or hold a single animal steady in half the space so it cannot build up momentum.

Size follows the herd. The 3 m single-axle body suits sheep, goats, pigs and calves, and tows behind a standard bakkie without a braked axle in the non-braked version. The 4 m and 5 m tandem-axle bodies run twin braked axles for cattle and game, and the extra axle matters as much for stability on a corrugated farm road as it does for the rating on paper.

Game farms, feedlots, auction runs and smallholdings all buy from this range. If you are carrying feed rather than the animals that eat it, the utility and cargo section is the better fit.
