Delivery is free anywhere in South Africa on any order over R20,000, using code TSA26 at checkout. Collection from the works in Hartswater is free on any order, whatever it is worth.
The free delivery rule, in full
Spend more than R20,000 in a single order and delivery to any address in South Africa costs you nothing. Apply the code TSA26 in the coupon field at checkout and the shipping line falls away. The threshold is measured on the order total including VAT, so the figure you see in the cart is the figure that counts.
Under R20,000 the delivery charge is quoted per destination rather than averaged across the country, because a trailer going to Warrenton and a trailer going to George are not the same job. Ask for the figure before you commit and it will be on your written quote.
Collection from Hartswater
Collection is always free. The works is at 1 Dwars St, Hartswater, 8570, Northern Cape, and collections happen inside business hours. Bring the tow vehicle, your identity document and proof of payment. We will check the coupler height against your tow bar and run through the lighting with you before you leave the yard rather than after.
If you are collecting a bowser, come with the tank empty and stay empty until it is registered and on the road. If you are collecting a livestock trailer, bring the gates closed and the floor clear.
Where we deliver, and how the routing works
Hartswater is between Kimberley and Vryburg, which puts the Northern Cape, North West and Free State inside comfortable single-run range, and puts Gauteng within a straightforward day’s transport. The coastal metros are longer runs and are scheduled rather than dispatched on demand.
Close range
Kimberley, Warrenton, Christiana, Jan Kempdorp, Vryburg, Kuruman, Kathu, Klerksdorp, Postmasburg. These are our own region and they move quickly.
Middle range
Bloemfontein, Welkom, Johannesburg, Pretoria, the East Rand, Rustenburg, Upington, Mahikeng.
Long range
Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha, East London, George, Polokwane, Mbombela. Delivery to these is arranged per order and confirmed in writing before you pay.
Damage in transit
A trailer that arrives damaged is our problem, not yours, provided you tell us at delivery. Inspect the unit before the driver leaves, photograph anything that is not right, and note it on the delivery document. We will repair or replace it. Once a trailer has been signed for as received in good order and then used, a later claim becomes an argument about when the damage happened, and nobody wins that.
Your rights on defective goods are set out separately on the returns page, and the commercial terms sit under terms and conditions.
Cross-border delivery
We quote into Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Lesotho, Eswatini and Zambia. Cross-border movements are always quoted individually, because the cost is driven by the paperwork, the border post and any escort requirement far more than by the kilometres.
Expect the following to come up on a cross-border order:
- Commercial invoice showing the full value of the trailer, our VAT number and the buyer’s details.
- Proof of payment in the buyer’s name.
- Customs or export declaration lodged at the border post on the South African side.
- Import duties and clearance in the destination country, which are the buyer’s responsibility unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Registration in the destination country, which happens after the trailer arrives and is handled by the buyer.
Requirements differ per country and they change. We confirm the current list with you before the trailer moves rather than working off a list that was correct last year.
What arrives, and what to check
The trailer arrives with its road equipment fitted: four-in-one rear lighting, seven-pin plug, front and rear mudguard reflectors, 1150 mm chevron board and reflective tape down both sides. Check the lights against the tow vehicle before the driver leaves. Check the coupler engages and locks on your tow ball. Check the tyre pressures. If anything is not right, say so at delivery rather than a week later, and take photographs.
Registration and licensing happen in your name at a licensing office and are not something we can complete for you. The FAQ covers what that process asks for.
