What to include in your enquiry
A trailer quote is only as good as the information behind it. Send these five things and you will usually get a specification and a price back the same working day, instead of a chain of questions.
- What you are carrying. Building rubble, cattle, a bakkie, 2,000 litres of diesel, a golf cart. Be specific about the heaviest thing that will ever go on it, not the average.
- The mass. A rough figure in kilograms is fine. It decides braked or non-braked, single or tandem axle, and it is the number that keeps you legal.
- The tow vehicle. Make, model and year. Its braked and unbraked towing capacity, and the tow bar rating, both cap what we can sell you.
- Your town. Delivery is free over R20,000 anywhere in South Africa, but the route and the timing still depend on where you are.
- When you need it. Whether you need something off the floor this week or you are planning a custom build for next season changes the answer completely.

Which number to use
The two numbers do different jobs. +27 68 145 9358 is the mobile line, best for a conversation about specification, availability or a delivery that is already in motion. +27 71 065 8119 is WhatsApp, and it is the fastest route to a price because you can send photographs of the load, the tow bar or the trailer you are replacing without describing them.
Email suits anything with a document attached: a purchase order, a company registration for a business account, or a specification sheet from a project you are quoting on.
What happens after you send an enquiry
An enquiry that arrives during business hours is normally answered the same working day. Anything that lands over a weekend or a public holiday gets picked up the next working morning.
The first reply either contains a price, or contains the one question we need answered before a price is possible. Usually that question is the mass of the load or the towing capacity of the vehicle, which is why both are on the checklist above. Once the specification is agreed you get a written quote listing the deck size, the gross vehicle mass, the axle and braking configuration, the wheel and tyre size, the coupler rating and the road equipment fitted, with VAT shown at 15 percent.
Visiting the works
Walk-ins are welcome inside business hours. Hartswater is roughly 130 km north of Kimberley and about 90 km south of Vryburg, so plan for a half-day round trip from either. If you want to see a particular model rather than whatever happens to be on the floor, call ahead and we will have it pulled out and ready.
Bring the tow vehicle if you can. Matching a coupler height and a tow bar rating with the vehicle standing in front of you takes ten minutes and removes most of the ways a trailer purchase goes wrong.
