WhatsApp about this trailerAbout this trailer
The 3.4m mobile food trailer is the unit most operators settle on after a season of trading. The metre that separates this unit from the 2.4 m version buys something specific: a second person. Below roughly three metres of working length, two staff collide at the fryer and the queue slows down instead of speeding up. Above it, one person preps while the other serves, and the same pitch turns over materially more covers in the same trading hours. That is the entire commercial case for stepping up, and it is why this is the size most operators settle on once they have traded a season.
Build and construction
Same galvanised steel ladder frame as the compact unit, carried further and braced for the extra body. Panels are 1.6 mm Chromadek, but on this unit they carry a heat-resistant coating, which is a real difference rather than a marketing one once you are running three burners and a fryer behind them. The floor is anti-slip aluminium checker plate. Two stabiliser jacks sit at the rear, so the body stops moving when someone leans on the counter. Entry is through a lockable steel door with a non-slip step, and the serving hatch is a single large lockable panel on gas struts.
Key features
- Two-person work surface layout — full-length stainless down one side with two prep tables, so prep and service do not share a counter.
- Three-burner plus fryer gas positions — the pipework anticipates a real menu rather than a single hotplate, and a flat-top griddle mounting point is included.
- Range hood bracket pre-fitted — the extraction mount is already in the ceiling, so a commercial hood is a bolt-up rather than a cutting job on a finished unit.
- High-speed exhaust fan mount and duct point — separate from the passive roof vent, because a fryer needs forced extraction and a vent alone will not clear it.
- 100 L fresh and 150 L waste tanks with an electric pump — half again the fresh capacity of the compact unit and nearly double the waste, which is what a two-compartment sink actually consumes.
- Overhead and under-counter storage — dry stock overhead, cold and heavy under the counter, which is the layout that stops staff crossing the unit mid-service.
- Stainless splashbacks and stainless ceiling — the ceiling is the part most units skip and the part that carries grease. It wipes down.
- Four 220 V plug points, generator compatible — enough circuits for refrigeration, lighting and a point of sale terminal at once.

Applications
Full-menu event trading, festival and sports stadium catering, corporate and wedding catering, fixed high-street pitches, mine and construction site feeding contracts, and franchise operators running a second or third unit off one commissary kitchen. The two-person layout is also what makes it viable for training staff on the unit rather than off it.
Compliance and legal
Rated at 1 500 kg GVM, so it is a braked, registered trailer. Confirm your tow vehicle rated towing capacity before you buy, because that figure caps the combination regardless of the trailer rating. Trading requires a municipal Certificate of Acceptability, and a unit running forced extraction over a fryer will generally be assessed on the extraction as well as the surfaces. Gas installation must be signed off by a registered LP gas installer and a Certificate of Conformity issued. Tare mass is not published by the supplier and is required for licensing.

Questions about this trailer
What is the real difference between this and the 2.4 m unit?
Two people can work in it, the gas layout takes a fryer, the panels carry a heat-resistant coating, extraction is powered rather than passive, and the water system is half again larger. It is a different class of unit, not a longer version of the same one.
Is the extractor hood fitted?
No. The bracket and duct point are pre-fitted in the ceiling so a commercial hood bolts straight up, but the hood and fan themselves are an optional extra. Most operators specify the hood to match the equipment they are installing.
Can I run a fridge and a point of sale terminal at the same time?
Yes. There are four 220 V plug points on the shore power side, which is enough for refrigeration, lighting and a terminal concurrently. On a generator, size the set for the compressor start-up load rather than the running load.
Do I need a gas certificate?
Yes. The trailer ships with piping points, not a connected installation. A registered LP gas installer must commission it and issue a Certificate of Conformity, and your municipality will ask for that certificate as part of the trading approval.
Does it need stabilisers on every setup?
Use them. The two rear jacks take the movement out of the body when staff lean on the counter, and on soft ground they stop the whole unit rocking on the suspension through a service.
