1500kg Single Axle Chassis Trailer 2.2m

This chassis trailer is a bare braked single-axle platform on a 2.2 m by 1.2 m frame, plated at 1 500 kg gross and built to carry a tank, a pump, a small genset or other plant. It is deliberately minimal: a strong frame with a coupling, running gear and a mounting deck, ready for the equipment you specify rather than a general-purpose trailer you then modify.

What a chassis trailer is for

Buying a bare chassis makes sense when the load is a fixed piece of equipment. Instead of paying for a sided or decked trailer and cutting it about to fit a tank or pump, you get a platform sized and rated for that job, and we fit the equipment, or you do. At 1 500 kg GVM this single-axle unit suits a light pump set, a small water or diesel tank or a compact genset. The same base is offered fitted in our generator-trailer range.

Build and mounting

The chassis and A-frame are steel open channel in a ladder-frame layout, on a braked single axle, finished in painted 2K Duco. The mounting is specified to the equipment it carries. Tell us the make, model and full weight of what you are fitting and we match it to the right chassis and confirm the payload against the trailer tare.

Payload, GVM and licensing

Plated at 1 500 kg gross and braked, this trailer needs a tow vehicle rated for a braked trailer of this mass. The equipment you mount sets the real weight, so we confirm the payload against the trailer tare in writing before you order. Above 750 kg a trailer must be braked, and the licence and combination rules are in the National Road Traffic Act.
