3 Ton Double Axle Angled Car Trailer 6.0m

The angled car trailer is a 6.0 m by 2.0 m drive-on unit with a low load angle, plated at 3 000 kg gross on twin 1 800 kg axles. The angled, dropped rear deck lowers the approach so low-clearance and sports cars load without grounding their front spoilers, which a flat, high deck will not allow.

Why an angled car trailer

Load angle is the whole point of this trailer. A sports car, a lowered vehicle or a race car has centimetres of ground clearance, and driving it up a steep ramp onto a high flat deck scrapes the front. The angled deck sits low at the rear and rises gently, so the approach is shallow enough for a low car to drive on cleanly. At 6.0 m it also carries longer vehicles than the straight 5.0 m car trailer.

Build and deck

The chassis and A-frame are 76 x 38 x 5 mm steel channel in a ladder-frame layout, on twin 1 800 kg leaf-sprung axles and 14 inch wheels. The angled deck loads over a shallow approach, with tie-down points to secure a vehicle by the wheels or chassis. It is braked and finished in painted 2K Duco.

Payload, GVM and licensing

Plated at 3 000 kg gross on 1 800 kg axles, this trailer needs a tow vehicle with real braked towing capacity and, for most drivers, an EB licence code. The supplier publishes no dependable tare, so we confirm the empty mass and the vehicle weight it can carry in writing before you order. The combination mass and licence rules are in the National Road Traffic Act; securing the vehicle is the driver responsibility.
