WhatsApp about this trailerAbout this trailer
Between the fitted out half ton body and the full one ton workshop sits the Model C Workshop Trailer, a braked three quarter ton unit with the same 1530 mm internal width as the biggest model but a shorter 2125 mm body. It is the compromise most trades actually want. TRAILERS SA holds it in Hartswater and sells it as a retailer, so the specification here is the published builder specification and nothing more.

Braking, mass and towing
At 1100 kg GVM the trailer is above the 750 kg mark, so run-in brakes are fitted as the law requires. The axle is rated at 1250 kg, comfortably above the plated GVM. Tare is 420 kg, leaving 680 kg of payload, which is enough for a full tool inventory and a mid size machine but not for a heavy generator and a compressor together. Weigh the trailer loaded once, because tools accumulate faster than anyone expects. Confirm your tow rating before ordering. The governing legislation is the National Road Traffic Act.
Model C compared with Model A and Model B
Against the Model A Workshop Trailer, Model C gives away 1455 mm of overall length and 340 kg of payload, but it is 160 kg lighter empty and considerably easier to park and reverse. Against Model B it gains brakes, 320 mm of internal width, 290 kg of payload and larger 195 x 14 inch wheels, and it drops the fitted bin and tool inventory in favour of open space. Most buyers land here when they want a real workshop body without the length of the one ton.
Who buys the three quarter ton body
Fencing contractors, borehole and pump technicians, solar installers, farm workshops and municipal teams are the usual buyers. The shorter body follows a bakkie through a farm gate without drama, and the 2000 mm overall width still keeps it inside a normal lane. A workshop that can be uncoupled and left on site overnight, locked and dust proof, also removes the need to strip a bakkie every evening. The full selection is on the workshop trailers category page.
Working from the side flaps
Both side flaps are gas lift assisted, so they rise and settle without fighting you, and they padlock closed. Dropped flat they give 1870 mm of bench on each side, which is more usable surface than most site tables. The perforated tool rack sits behind, keeping hand tools visible and off the floor. Eight tie down rings anchor whatever is loose, and the heavy duty support legs keep the trailer steady when it is uncoupled and being worked on.
Delivery, warranty and ordering
This trailer qualifies for free delivery anywhere in South Africa, and the delivery page covers the handover. If you would rather collect, our Hartswater yard is open for that. The builder warranty applies and we administer it on your behalf, with the cover described on the warranty page. If you want the trailer signwritten or fitted with your own racking, tell us at quotation stage so it is priced correctly rather than added later. Contractors buying more than one unit should send the requirement through the quote request form.
