Workshop Trailers

Mobile workshop trailers put a lockable, shelved workspace on site without tying up a bakkie for the week. TRAILERS SA stocks the Model A, Model B and Model C workshops, from 750 kg to 1 600 kg GVM, with payloads from 390 kg to 1 020 kg.

A workshop trailer is a closed body with a working interior: shelving, a bench area, internal lighting points and a door that locks properly. The bodies are built from corrosion resistant electro galvanised sheet steel, and the floors take the weight of tooling rather than luggage. For a plumber, an electrician or a farm workshop, the trailer stays packed between jobs, which is the whole point.

Model A is the one ton unit on a braked 1 800 kg axle with a 2 400 mm body and a 1 020 kg payload, sized for a full tool inventory and a generator. Model C sits in the middle at 1 100 kg GVM with a 2 125 mm body and run-in brakes. Model B is the half ton unbraked unit at 750 kg GVM, light enough to be towed without a braked coupling.

Every unit publishes tare, GVM and payload, so the load you plan to carry can be checked against the licensing figure before the trailer is ordered rather than after it arrives.

Delivery is free nationwide over R20 000, collection from Hartswater is welcome, and pricing on the Model B is quoted per order.

Security is worth asking about before delivery. Padlock points, internal lighting and the way the shelving is fixed all differ between the three models, and a workshop trailer that is broken into once tends to be broken into again. We will walk through the fittings on the unit you are considering.
