Capacity on a chiller is quoted as product mass, not volume, and that trips people up. A 500 kg unit does not mean 500 kg of anything will fit. It means the refrigeration circuit can pull that much product down to setpoint and hold it there. Dense product in a small footprint is easy. The insulation number is the one to compare across suppliers. Control is a digital thermostat with a display, reading out inside and outside, plus a high-temperature audible alarm. That alarm is not a luxury. It is the difference between a door left open for ten minutes and a load written off overnight.

Specify a generator set if the unit is leaving mains power. Remote temperature monitoring is worth the money whenever the load is worth more than the trailer, which with meat, dairy or pharmaceuticals it usually is.
