3 Ton Double Axle Flatbed Trailer 6.0m

The 6m flatbed trailer is a long, open double-axle deck at 6.0 m by 2.2 m, plated at 3 000 kg gross. It is built for long, heavy loads: full lengths of steel and timber, roof trusses, piping or a mid-size machine, carried on an open deck with nothing to get in the way of loading or overhang.

What the 6m flatbed trailer handles

Six metres of open, 2.2 m-wide deck is a serious load platform. Long material rides flat and supported along its length instead of hanging off the back of a short trailer, and the open sides let a forklift or crane load from anywhere. At 3 000 kg GVM on twin 1 800 kg axles it carries the weight to match the length, which is what contractors, steel merchants and plant operators need for a genuinely big load.

Build and deck

The floor is a 2.0 mm steel plate on a 76 x 38 x 5 mm open-channel ladder-frame chassis, with the wheels under the trailer to keep the full width clear. It runs twin 1 800 kg leaf-sprung axles, is braked, and is finished in painted 2K Duco. Lashing points along the deck let long and heavy loads be secured properly, which on a 6 m open deck is essential.

Payload, length and licensing

Plated at 3 000 kg gross on 1 800 kg axles, this trailer needs a tow vehicle with real braked towing capacity and, for most drivers, an EB licence code. A long open deck also demands attention to load securing and overhang, both of which sit with the towing driver under the National Road Traffic Act. The supplier publishes no dependable tare, so we confirm the empty mass and payload in writing before you order.
