Rubber suspension is compact, needs no greasing and damps the small high frequency inputs that shake fairings and mirrors loose on a corrugated approach road. Two axles spread the load across four contact patches, which steadies the trailer behind a bakkie at highway speed and leaves you with a spare axle standing if a tyre fails. Both axles are rated at 700 kg, giving 1 400 kg of combined capacity that matches the certified gross exactly.

Loading and restraint on a 1 500 mm deck

Machines load from the rear and the builder states that a ramp is supplied, with lugs on the sides to secure them in transit. Ramp length, ramp width, its rated capacity and the number of lugs are not published, and neither are wheel chocks, so we do not quote any of those figures. The inside width of 1 500 mm is the number to measure against if you are loading two wide machines side by side. Payload, braking and the licensing question

Worth flagging honestly: the published tare of 300 kg is lower than the 320 kg published for the single axle unbraked twin, despite a second axle and a braking system. We publish the builder figure as it stands rather than adjusting it, and we suggest a weighbridge ticket before you load to the plate. On licensing we point at the source rather than assert a code, because the answer depends on your driving licence, your tow vehicle and the combination mass: the National Road Traffic Act and its regulations set the braking threshold and the towing rules. Securing the load remains the towing driver responsibility in law, whatever the trailer provides.
