Single Bike Trailer

Who the Single Bike Trailer suits

One bike, carried properly, is a narrower job than it looks. Payload, mass and the braking line

Published payload is 500 kg: the 700 kg gross vehicle mass less the 200 kg tare. For one motorcycle that is generous, and in practice the limiting factor is strap geometry rather than mass. Because the certified gross is 700 kg, this unit sits below the 750 kg mark at which a trailer must be braked in South Africa, and the specification confirms no brakes are fitted. Rather than quote licence codes at you, we point you at the source, the National Road Traffic Act and its regulations, which govern towing mass, braking and load projection. Securing the load is the towing driver legal responsibility, so check every strap at every stop.
