About this trailer

Where the other two workshop bodies are essentially empty shells, the Model B Workshop Trailer arrives already organised. Twenty parts bins, a three shelf internal unit, a tool panel with prongs and clips, a roofrack and a gas cylinder compartment are all part of the standard build. TRAILERS SA sells this model as a retailer from Hartswater. The builder does not publish a price for it, so it is priced on application.

There is no published price for this trailer, so we do not list one, and we will not invent a figure either. Because there is no published price we cannot show an add to cart button, and the trailer is listed here as a specification page. Send us your requirement through the quote request form and we will come back with a written price for the trailer as specified, including delivery to your address. If you would rather talk it through, the same form takes a phone number.

Towing at 750 kg GVM

GVM is published at 750 kg, which puts this trailer right on the line where brakes become compulsory rather than over it, and the builder specifies it with no brakes. Tare is 360 kg, so payload is 390 kg. Loaded with a full bin rack, a set of tools and a couple of gas cylinders, you will get closer to that number than you expect, so weigh it once. The towing and licensing framework is the National Road Traffic Act.

Where it fits against Model A and Model C

This is the smallest and lightest of the three, at 360 kg tare against 420 kg for Model C and 580 kg for the Model A Workshop Trailer. It is also the only one that comes fitted out rather than empty, and the only one on 165 x 13 inch wheels. Payload is the trade off at 390 kg. Choose it when the work is small parts, fittings and hand tools rather than a generator or a compressor.

Trades, delivery and warranty

Electricians, plumbers, HVAC installers, alarm and network installers and municipal repair crews are the natural users of a fitted out body like this. A fitted out trailer also cuts the time a technician spends hunting for a fitting at the back of a bakkie. See the rest of the range on the workshop trailers category page. Free delivery applies anywhere in South Africa on orders over R20 000, with the detail on the delivery page, and collection from Hartswater is always an option. The builder warranty applies and we administer it on your behalf, with the cover set out on the warranty page.
