The difference between an off-road trailer and an ordinary garden trailer sits in the parts you cannot see. Heavy leaf or rubber suspension, 205 and 215 section tyres on 14 and 15 inch rims, an epoxy powder-coated or galvanised body, sealed doors, and a nose cone that keeps corrugation dust out of the bedding. Ground clearance across this range runs from 245 mm to 300 mm measured to the bottom of the axle.

Choose on payload first and braking second. A trailer at 750 kg GVM needs no service brakes, which covers the Savuti and the Savuti XL at 350 kg to 470 kg payload. Above that threshold brakes are required by law, and the Bushbaby, Offroader and Hunter run run-in braked axles rated between 1 470 kg and 2 365 kg, carrying up to 1 480 kg. Every model here publishes its tare mass, so the sums against your tow rating are real numbers rather than estimates.

Camping fitments are ordered per unit and priced separately: roof top tents, water tanks, gas cookers, kitchen slides and jerrycan holders. Ask before you order, because a fitment changes the tare and eats into what you may legally load.
