Cool Room Trailers

The difference between a cool room trailer and a chiller trailer is that you walk into this one. That sounds obvious and it changes everything about how it gets used. A chiller is loaded from outside and works as cold transport. A walk-in is a room you work in, which makes it the right answer for a catering operation staging a function, a venue that needs cold capacity for one weekend a year, or a hire company whose customers want a cold room without a builder.

Because people go inside, the safety specification matters more than it does on a box you only reach into. The door carries an interior safety release handle and cannot lock someone in. That is not a nice-to-have on a sealed insulated enclosure, and it is the first thing to check on any walk-in unit you are quoted, from us or from anyone else.

Panels are 75 mm injected polyurethane at cool-storage grade, with a full perimeter magnetic gasket on a cam-lock door. The interior is smooth white hygienic lining with a washable non-slip checker plate floor, an insulated ceiling panel and a floor drain, so the whole room hoses out between hires. An LED strip lights the interior, and the condensing unit mounts on the roof or the side with an external air-cooled condenser.

Control is a digital thermostat with an external readout and a high-temperature audible alarm, so the unit can be checked without opening the door and warming it. If you are buying to hire out, ask us about fleet pricing and racking before you order.
