Static Tanks & Stands

A static diesel tank on a stand is fixed storage rather than a trailer. The tank sits on a coated heavy-duty steel frame high enough to gravity-feed a vehicle below it, in capacities from 1,000 to 5,000 litres, with a 110 mm inlet and a 50 mm outlet.

This is what you buy when the fuel does not need to travel. A farm with a single yard, a depot with its own vehicles, a mine workshop, a lodge running generators through the dry season. Instead of towing a bowser to a pump and back, the delivery tanker comes to you once and the tank feeds everything on site for weeks.

Height is the whole design. Raising the tank on a stand means diesel flows under its own weight into a vehicle tank or a jerry can, so there is no pump to fail, no power to run and nothing to service. Where a pump is wanted for speed or metering, the outlet accommodates it, but the gravity feed is there as the fallback that always works.

The frame is the part that separates a good static tank from a bad one. Five thousand litres of diesel weighs over four tonnes, and it has to sit on legs that will not settle, spread or corrode at the base where water collects. Ours are built from heavy-duty steel and coated, with the load carried into the frame rather than hung off the tank shell.

Standby capacity is the quiet reason many buyers order one. Loadshedding schedules move, generators run longer than planned, and a full tank on a stand is the difference between a shift continuing and a shift stopping.

If the fuel needs to move to the machine instead, the towable bowser ranges cover 500 to 3,000 litres.
